We grew up hearing about living in a man's world and how women were only the accessories that make this world a bit prettier. We always forget that many powerful figures in history were actually women. We also tend to misunderstand movements and stand for things we don't value. I was once accused by a self-proclaimed feminist of objectifying women; because of always wearing dresses and being "feminine, dressed up and too girly"; and how this assured men and sent them a message that women are weaker. If I gave up and stopped every time someone told me you're too young to do this or because you're a woman you can't do that; I wouldn't have been here and my company wouldn't have lasted for 10 years in one of the toughest markets. Sadly, women might not be the ones to support you or believe in you, they might actually want to bring you down. If this is the case, ignore them and surround yourself with one or a few who would genuinely be happy for your success and happiness. If you grew up in a world that told you sit down because you're a girl, or don't dress up like that and do notย play with boys because you're a girl, or don't ride a bike or play football because you're a girl, or it's rude to ask for your right because you're a girl, or don't do that, don't say that or don't choose this career because you're a girl. I would URGE YOU to think differently and do it all and even way more BECAUSE you're a girl, because you need to embrace your brain and body, because being a woman is so powerful and is a bliss. Stand up, speak out, dream and do... #WordsbyZayna ๐Ÿ“ธ @fares .almsaeed
